Sula moves to her 6 month foster home placement!

IMG_1704

My landlord is putting our house on the market and it has been a catalyst for some adventurous changes in my life.  I’m saving the exciting stuff for the next post. First, I needed to find someone to take care of SULA while I was away.  I posted cute photos of her on FB and my cousin Kim connected me to Kendra, who has offered up her house with 7 kitty siblings for Sula!  HOORAY!  Tomorrow I’ll stuff poor Sula into her carrier and deliver her (crying & carsick) to her new home.  Wish me luck.

If it’s the Kendra I know…our cousin…..Sula may never want to come home. Your kitty will be GREAT!! Hugs to you!

Yep, it’s me! So far she’s not too happy about the other cats, but she’s in “her” room so she gets used to the sounds and smells of this house.

Melissa- it’s the one and the same, Kendra! She is definitely spoiling Sula + I’m so happy about it!

We’re looking forward to Sula visiting! I’ll vacuum her room again so it is all nice and neat for her. Give me a call or text when you’re on your way. I’m going to put the other cats in the basement so she can investigate without being bothered for a while.

Sula’s settling in nicely. We let her roam freely at night while the other seven cats are sleeping soundly in the basement. She’s had “face time” with the other cats while being safely kept apart by a couple of baby gates in her doorway. So far it’s been quite a hiss-fest, but things are getting a little better. It may be a while before we let her roam free with the other cats upstairs. We just crack up when she’s pushing her food dispenser around with her head and have given her a couple toys to play with. I’m sure she’s missing her mama, but loves being petted and scratched around the head. She turns on that big “purr motor” and rumbles up a storm! I think I’ll go see what she’s up to right now. More to come . . . !

Yay! THanks for the update, Kendra! I’m so happy she has you to give her scratches!

Sula spent most of today out with the other cats – sort of. She zonked out under the bed most of the day and was able to walk to “her” room without any hissing or growling. Of course, as soon as Cooper saw her, he was right after her to see what she was doing. I know he wants to play, but Sula just doesn’t get that yet. It is getting better, so by the time you come back to get her, she probably won’t want to leave her “best buds”! LOL She’s doing great and we’re happy to have her. Happy travels as you head west!
